Scott has spent his career in the information industry, as a CEO/President of global businesses, board member, consulting partner, coach, and advisor. He has led a variety of global businesses focused on providing business people with high-quality data, analysis, and content to support critical decisions.
Earlier operating roles included serving as President of the Corporate Markets Group at Dow Jones, where he helped build and lead the Risk & Compliance businesses as well as the leading enterprise database Factiva; President of Digital Media and head of global sales and marketing at The Wall Street Journal; President of Dow Jones Financial Information Services; CEO of UBM Americas; and President of Rodale Inc. He was a partner at the management consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton.
Scott is now a Senior Advisor and executive coach with BCG, where he works with clients in the Technology and Information industries. He serves on the Boards of Marketplace Events, the largest producer of consumer events in North America, and Benzinga, the fast-growing financial intelligence and analytics business.
Scott has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University.
A former FBI Special Agent, Justin has spent the last 13 years focused on cyber and nation-state strategic threats. He has experience as an individual contributor and in leading teams conducting: security monitoring, targeting and cyber-enabled investigations. Prior to joining Torchlight he helped stand-up and run Coalition Inc.’s cyber incident response group.
Archana Bae is a Managing Director and Practice Lead for Financial Crime Intelligence at Torchlight. Archana has served both the public and private sectors for over twenty years as a financial crime risk, intelligence, and compliance professional. Archana previously served as a Senior Director with K2 Integrity’s Financial Crime Risk Management Practice, providing financial institutions and governments with strategic and tactical insights and solutions related to managing money laundering, terrorist finance, sanctions, and corruption risk. Archana also served as Vice President and U.S. Regional Head of Sanctions Investigations at HSBC Bank in Washington, DC. Archana spent the first half of her career in the U.S. government, serving as a sanctions investigator at the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and an intelligence and targeting analyst with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and in multiple agencies within the U.S. intelligence community.
Charles joined Torchlight as Managing Director of Global Risk Intelligence. Charles spent fourteen years serving at home and overseas with the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office. He has worked in Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Iran, as well as at the UK Mission to the United Nations in New York. Charles has led client projects on market entry, business intelligence and investigations as well as political risk and government affairs issues.
Steve has 14 years of military experience as an Intelligence Analyst in the Navy. As the founder of Crowdpulse, he leverages that experience to provide visionary solutions to challenges he faced as an Analyst. At Torchlight, he is responsible for generating and maintaining a clear company vision and product roadmap artifacts. Steve also acts as a critical communicator of business needs to the engineering organization.
Hector Cuevas is the Managing Director, Government Solutions business unit at Torchlight AI. In this role, he is responsible for the delivery, sustainment & growth of Torchlight analytical tools and services in support of US and International government mission partners.
Hector joined the company in June 2022 from Smartronix LLC where he served as the president of the C5ISR business unit and was responsible for the development, integration, and delivery of enterprise solutions and analytic services to support joint and coalition operations worldwide.
Prior to that he was at Parsons Corporation where he served as the executive vice president & general manager of the Missile Defense & C5ISR business unit.
Mr. Cuevas is a retired Army Chief Warrant Officer 4 & decorated combat veteran with over 35 years of U.S. Army special operations forces and intelligence community service. Most of his military career entailed supporting U.S. and allied special operations, including foreign internal defense, civil-military support, partner nation capacity building, and direct action in Africa, Southwest Asia & South America
Hector led geospatial intelligence and ISR support to over 100 special operations missions in West, Central and the Horn of Africa with Special Operations Command- Africa before retiring in 2012. As branch chief, Cuevas is credited for originating an ISR system tailored to operations in Africa that optimized collection and increased operational efficiencies.
