Jim served ten years in the US Army as a paratrooper and Special Forces commander where he led countless operations in Afghanistan & Iraq. He parlayed those experiences into a career building companies uniquely suited for a changing world.
A resident of Saint Petersburg, Florida, Jim is passionate about the growth of the city and what life-changing technologies will emerge in the next few years.
Scott is an experienced business leader, operating executive, and consulting partner with a long track record of leading growth at companies including Dow Jones, UBM, and Booz Allen Hamilton. As Executive Chairman and Board member of Torchlight AI, Scott works closely with the leadership team to develop Torchlight’s overall growth strategy and go-to-market plans. His work with Torchlight builds on his earlier experiences integrating information businesses and providing customers with critical workflow solutions, SaaS-based enterprise services, and data. Scott is a die-hard Duke Blue Devils fan, and a long-suffering Jets and Knicks fan.
Trey Murdock is the Chief Financial Officer at Torchlight AI.
Trey comes to Torchlight from Citi where he previously served as both the Vice President, Investment Banking and the Director of Investment Banking, Acquisitions, and Divestures.
Trey has a bachelors from Marshall University and an MBA in Finance from Baylor.
Steve has 14 years of military experience as an Intelligence Analyst in the Navy. As the founder of Crowdpulse, he leverages that experience to provide visionary solutions to challenges he faced as an Analyst. At Torchlight, he is responsible for generating and maintaining a clear company vision and product roadmap artifacts. Steve also acts as a critical communicator of business needs to the engineering organization.
Hector Cuevas is the Managing Director, Government Solutions business unit at Torchlight AI. In this role, he is responsible for the delivery, sustainment & growth of Torchlight analytical tools and services in support of US and International government mission partners.
Hector joined the company in June 2022 from Smartronix LLC where he served as the president of the C5ISR business unit and was responsible for the development, integration, and delivery of enterprise solutions and analytic services to support joint and coalition operations worldwide.
Prior to that he was at Parsons Corporation where he served as the executive vice president & general manager of the Missile Defense & C5ISR business unit.
Mr. Cuevas is a retired Army Chief Warrant Officer 4 & decorated combat veteran with over 35 years of U.S. Army special operations forces and intelligence community service. Most of his military career entailed supporting U.S. and allied special operations, including foreign internal defense, civil-military support, partner nation capacity building, and direct action in Africa, Southwest Asia & South America
Hector led geospatial intelligence and ISR support to over 100 special operations missions in West, Central and the Horn of Africa with Special Operations Command- Africa before retiring in 2012. As branch chief, Cuevas is credited for originating an ISR system tailored to operations in Africa that optimized collection and increased operational efficiencies.

Archana Bae is a Managing Director and Practice Lead for Financial Crime Intelligence at Torchlight. Archana has served both the public and private sectors for over twenty years as a financial crime risk, intelligence, and compliance professional. Archana previously served as a Senior Director with K2 Integrity’s Financial Crime Risk Management Practice, providing financial institutions and governments with strategic and tactical insights and solutions related to managing money laundering, terrorist finance, sanctions, and corruption risk. Archana also served as Vice President and U.S. Regional Head of Sanctions Investigations at HSBC Bank in Washington, DC. Archana spent the first half of her career in the U.S. government, serving as a sanctions investigator at the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and an intelligence and targeting analyst with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and in multiple agencies within the U.S. intelligence community.
Charles joined Torchlight as Managing Director of Global Risk Intelligence. Charles spent fourteen years serving at home and overseas with the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office. He has worked in Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Iran, as well as at the UK Mission to the United Nations in New York. Charles has led client projects on market entry, business intelligence and investigations as well as political risk and government affairs issues.
